A.1. Paid occupation

A.1.1. Employed in the country of residence

If you work in your country of residence, you must first, before any treatment in a Luxembourg hospital, obtain an E112/S2 European form from the authorised health fund in your country of residence. This document gives you the "authorisation" to be treated outside your country.

A.1.2. Employed in Luxembourg

If you work in Luxembourg and your affiliation with the Caisse Nationale de Santé is in order, you can consequently benefit from all the treatment required in a hospital facility.

-    The Clinique Bohler invoices the cost for your treatment directly to your health fund. You do not have to pay this money in advance.
-    Only expenses and supplements which are not refunded by the Caisse Nationale de Santé will be invoiced to you.
-    In addition to the hospital invoices, each doctor consulted will invoice you for his/her own fees. These are to be sent to the CNS following payment to obtain a refund from the CNS based on the current rates in Luxembourg.
-    It should be noted that in the event of hospitalisation in a private individual room, each doctor involved in a patient’s care will invoice an additional fee of 66% which is not covered by the CNS.
-    In addition, if you are affiliated with a mutual insurance or complementary health insurance company, in your country of residence or in Luxembourg, which covers hospital costs, you can send that company the invoices paid for any extra services received from our private clinic and doctors.

A.2. Unemployed

A.2.1. Recipient of unemployment benefits

A.2.1.1. You receive unemployment benefits in your country of residence

If you receive unemployment benefits in your country of residence, you must first, before any scheduled treatment in a Luxembourg hospital facility, obtain an E112/S2 European form from the authorised health fund in your country of residence. A.2.1.2. You receive unemployment benefits in Luxembourg

If you receive unemployment benefits in Luxembourg and your affiliation with the Caisse Nationale de Santé is in order, you can consequently benefit from all the treatment required in a hospital facility.

A.3. Students and secondments

You can receive treatment in Luxembourg on the basis of the European Card (or a replacement certificate), issued by the authorised health fund from your country of residence.

This will be covered by the Caisse Nationale de Santé once you have sent them a copy of this card.

A.4. Holders of a Luxembourg pension residing in France

You can receive the required treatment in Luxembourg upon presentation of the European Card, with no interruption to your affiliation with the Caisse Nationale de Santé.
